Your Role As a market-facing business development leader with deep knowledge and experience, you will be charged to build our book of business through thought leadership and cultivating strategic relationships.

You will be adept at business development while also taking on a management leadership role on projects. Working collaboratively with others within the offices in the region and Gensler network in Vancouver, you will help shape how we get the work, lead the dialogue on design innovation, and help nurture the next generation of design professionals.

What You Will Do Grow our Vancouver practice through expanding existing relationships and developing new lines of work. Develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents.

Collaborate with design teams to deliver informed project solutions based on market expertise and deep understanding of client goals.

Work closely with office and studio leaders to identify and recruit best-in-class talent. Partner with office directors to establish budgetary framework and investment strategies for practice area.

Lead the relationships with the client, contractor, agencies, as well as engineering and specialty consultants. Prepare and review proposals, contracts, and consultant agreements.

Manage mid-size to large project teams, assign and monitor completion of tasks. Mentor junior staff. Your Qualifications 20+ years of experience demonstrably building relationships and exceeding the needs of clients in the local market in the architecture, real estate design market.

Degree in interior design, architecture or related field. Must be an expert in developing relationships with new and existing clients and have a deep understanding of the Gensler portfolio.

Proven ability to build a book of business and to deliver on large-scale projects, particularly in the local market. Connected and well-

regarded within the community and active in industry organizations. Adept at storytelling, engaging as a communicator and inspiring with an energetic personality.

Possess strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate ideas in interviews and other presentations. Skilled at developing and motivating teams of people both internally and externally.

A sense of business acumen to advise and guide clients as required. A desire to mentor team members, offer guidance and leadership.
