As a Pool Bartender at the Four Seasons Resort Whistler, you would be responsible for offering guests a relaxing experience with expertly served food and beverages while conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Previous experience in hotel is desired but not essential
1 2 years bartending and / or related food and beverage serving experience.
Good knowledge in English (written, spoken and reading)
Strong commitment to service
Applicants must hold a valid Canadian Work Permit and be able to obtain a clean Criminal Background Check.
In this role, you will :
Keep the bar at par with liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, glassware and condiments.
Handle cash checks and keep a bank float the hotel balanced.
Requisition, verify, bring up items to the fourth floor and put away all requisitions for liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks and food items used for the bar areas.
Develop a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar, i.e. liquors, wines, beers, specialty drinks, etc.
and menu items and their ingredients and preparation.
Understand the menu and the daily specials as well as what is not available.
Ensure that all details of service are performed properly and that every guest receives the highest quality of service.
Utilize the hotel's computer system ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks and completing closing readings.
Ensure proper pouring, mixing, blending, etc. of drinks.
Keep the bar area neat and tidy at all times clearing dishes and glassware whenever possible.
Ensure that the bar is stocked and all side opening and closing duties are completed.
Greet each guest promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, a smile and good posture.
Answer telephones according to Four Seasons' standards.
Recognize and address potential intoxicated, disruptive or undesirable guests.
Report any accident immediately, no matter how minor, to a manager.
Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
Operate the dishwasher and wash any plastic ware used at the pool
Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
