Position Overview : Reporting to the Director, IoT Products, the Senior Product Manager (Transportation) will work within a high performance and entrepreneurial team focused on developing vertical solutions that accelerate the adoption of sensor data to improve productivity, safety and compliance for our customers.
As a member of the Product team, you’ll be collaborating with partners, sales, marketing, and strategy teams to drive market growth for TELUS’ transportation portfolio.
The successful candidate will have the chance to generate ideas, set the vision and execute their strategy to drive growth and successful outcomes for our customers. Responsibilities :
Monitor and analyze market and technology trends and the competitive landscape to identify potential new product and service ideas
Building and executing GTM / partnerships that attract best in class IOT channel partners for transportation; managing the P&L of partner solutions including monthly performance tracking and management and developing total market opportunity and sizing
Managing product roadmap and strategy for IoT's Transportation vertical
Launching new products in close collaboration with TELUS transportation partners
Making data-driven decisions to define and optimize product pricing
Identifying and prioritizing customer requirements for product development
Making data-driven decisions to define and optimize product pricing for all new solutions
Manage solutions sales performance and resolve roadblocks that could impact targets
Partnering with the Sales team to close strategic customer accounts
Develop competitive differentiation and benchmarking against our competitors
Support design of GTM, operational, & other programs
Drive the annual strategic planning and capital planning cycles for your portfolio
Partner with operations teams to drive continuous improvement in our end-to-end value chain and service delivery model
As the product owner, support the sales team during customer and prospect meetings, as needed, to answer technical and product questions
Support business development activities by participating in key industry events, conferences and meetings as necessary to promote our vision to prospective customers and strategic partners
Required Knowledge :
Extensive partner management experience, negotiations and contract management, including drafting agreements
Strong technical background to assess solutions frameworks
Deep understanding of different commercial models including SaaS, hardware and other services
Demonstrated track record of driving results within a matrixed organization (i.e. Leading virtual teams, leadership roles in large matrixed organizations)
Demonstrated track record in delivering end to end solutions in a fast paced environment
Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to align to new business models and initiatives
Outstanding business and financial acumen and proven track record of developing pricing strategies
Knowledge of IoT solutions, technologies either of these markets : Municipalities, Utilities, Construction is an asset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
