Summary

Under the authority of the IT Director, the candidate must answer computer support calls and will be responsible for information and communication technology (ICT) activities in a hospital environment.

He will be required to respond to incidents through a service request management system, by email or by phone. He will be the first responder for all calls related to certain operational technology assignments.

The candidate will also have to perform the initial diagnosis on complex systems in a hospital environment and work to resolve problems.

Responsabilities : Primary duties : Answer phone calls, requests made through the service request management portal and emails regarding technology.

Ensure first level of troubleshooting on the network equipment’s. Maintain and ensure business continuity and keep operational systems up to date according to industry best practices.

Contribute to certain projects in the hospital environment. Keep computer systems up to date and configure and assemble them.

Ensure an initial response in case of notification of an event detected by a monitoring system. Support and update specialized applications.

Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for operational systems. Cascade requests that require expert assistance to the head office teams.

Work with service providers and ensure systems maintenance. Provide user training in terms of information and communication technology.

Ensure the maintenance of security equipment such as CCTV, access control systems or security camera systems or other specific systems in the hospital environment.

Manage systems and data backup. Secondary duties : Carry out or participate in analyses and tests on the security of the network in the hospital environment and on the security and integrity of data.

Propose or develop solutions in order to improve our performance. Develop and produce various reports. Participate in the evolution of existing technologies and recommend solutions to improve systems reliability and capabilities.

  • Perform any other related duties required by the position or requested by the immediate supervisor. Requirements : College diploma in information technology or equivalent (any combination of education and relevant experience will be considered);
  • At least seven (7) years of relevant experience in a similar position; Relevant work experience in a similar environment and a good knowledge of BAS systems;
  • Ability to pass a technical knowledge exam; Ability to travel independently in the Toronto area.

    Knowledge of Bacnet and other network communication protocols. Understanding of automation systems.
