Manages, directs and coordinates Project Management teams in the successful kick-off, execution, completion, and close-out of assigned projects.
Working knowledge of gas process packaging, compression equipment, manufacturing design and fabrication. Guide PM’s in working with assigned resource teams (Applications, Engineering & Design, Instrumentation & Electrical Engineering, Accounting and Purchasing) to ensure adequate resources are allocated and those resources are held accountable.
Must have ability to lead by example, energetic in driving execution and an exceptional communicator.
Identify key stakeholders for each project to develop timeline and project deliveries.
Work with business unit leaders to develop accurate budget and project timelines.
Develop project execution plans while identifying pitch points in advance to avoid delays in order to successfully start and execute a project on time and on budget.
Coordinate expectations with vendors and other resources as needed to keep projects on schedule.
Properly delegates work to Project Management team, setting commitment dates and monitoring and validating project controls towards those commitments.
Monitors the overall project progress and budget during design and fabrication by reviewing and maintaining project cash flows.
Inform stakeholders of expected delays, cost overruns or technical problems.
Ensures adherence to policies, procedures, government regulations, and customer specifications; ensuring the documentation of project activities and deliverables.
Inspect property under construction to ensure work conforms to specifications, schedule, budget and initiate repair or replacement needs.
Leads in project closure meetings and financial meetings with information by reporting on project status.
Observes and complies with all safety and project rules.
Performs other duties as required.
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Engineering or related field
7+ years project management experience is required
5+ years required managing natural gas compression packaging and fabrication.
PMP Certification preferred
Knowledge at the interpretation level for Compress, ASME SecVIII Div 1, Ariel Sizing, ASME B31.3 / 8 and API
Understanding of lead / lag, predecessors, successors, work weeks, critical path, etc. Ability to interpret true drafting, engineering and fabrication progress and feasibility of meeting contractual project completion dates.
