The Electrical Engineer will own the control system designs Argus delivers and ensure they satisfy our clients, comply with standards and electrical safety codes and create amazing client-focused solutions.
The engineer will collaborate with our design, product development and delivery operations to ensure our solutions create exceptional results for growers relying on them to grow confidently.
Responsibilities & Duties :
Oversee the design of Argus’ electrical hardware and control solutions.
Support the electrical design and certification process against required international standards.
Review and approve control system designs up to 600V for completeness, safety and standard / code compliance prior to release to production.
Critical Skills & Abilities :
Extensive knowledge in engineering standards, codes and guidelines.
Strong control or electrical system design, with experience in HVAC, low-voltage and lighting design.
Experience in control panel design, certification and standards, including UL, CSA, CE and AS2000.
Able to mentor junior designers and engineers.
Knowledge in design tools such as AutoCAD.
Ability to prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aids.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with exceptional report writing skills.
Must liaise with other automation specialists, designers and engineers to ensure client needs are met.
Must be able to work independently and in a team environment to meet tight deadlines.
Strong numerical ability and reasoning skills.
Knowledge of environmental controls a definite asset
Employment Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
Engineering Designation. Registered with EGBC.
Duration : Full-Time, Permanent
