Reporting to the Vice President, Finance and Support Services, the Director Finance, Planning & Analysis will create efficient business financial management services, control processes and financial strategies to measure and monitor the financial performance of CAMH.
The Director will ensure the appropriate framework for performance management, delivering operational and financial plans and providing evidence-based analytical insight to leaders across the organization in a timely, objective, accurate, understandable and actionable manner.
The Director is responsible for financial support and oversight of all CAMH portfolios. The Director will lead the development of the finances for the annual operating plan and multi-year capital plan.
You will provide functional support and advice for programs across CAMH and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
In addition to sound planning through economic and financial planning models and investment assessments, you will analyze financial results and recommend improvements for programs, initiatives, and projects.
You will maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure your team is improving processes and achieving outputs.
You will provide vision and leadership to the financial and statistical planning and analyst team and monitor reporting policies and procedures.

A Master’s degree is preferred, with an undergraduate degree ideally in Commerce or Finance / Economics. The completion of a recognized professional accounting designation is required.
Knowledge of the health care sector and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care reporting requirements is preferred. Demonstrated strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate long-term implications of decisions is required in addition to change management skills.
Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and motivational skills, including strong people development and team-building skills is required.
Progressive management experience in financial and management accounting practices is required, preferably in the healthcare and public sector.
You will have experience with senior levels of organizations, government, professional associations in addition to excellent organizational and time management skills.
You have demonstrated strong negotiation skills and are client service orientated. You have experience in process and quality improvements methods and in risk management practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is required in addition to the ability to work with persons of diverse ethnoracial and cultural backgrounds.
Bilingualism (French / English) and / or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
