This is an exciting opportunity to join us in a Project Assistant role in our Project Management department. Growth, development and promotion for the successful proponent is anticipated and will be encouraged.
This position reports into the manager of the Project Management Team.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
Provide assistance to Project Managers in document preparation and review i.e. :
Submittal packages & drawings
Assist PM with creating quotations and change logs
Assist PM in creating of project schedules & phases
Coordinate procurement, production and delivery or parts for small orders
Assist with requests for replacement parts
Review incoming client documents and highlight any information that requires immediate attention and note any dates that will impact the schedule (PO’s and contracts)
Manage team’s expenses as necessary
Ensures processes are being adhered to on daily basis
Assists PMs to update QuickBase
Follows up on projects with customers and dates as needed
Works well across all teams
Effective negotiation skills and the demonstrated ability to manage relationships.
Ability to manage and facilitate numerous projects.
QuickBase experience an asset
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Excellent English written and verbal communication.
Self-motivated, self-dedicated, and result oriented.
1 + years’ experience working as a Project Assistant in the construction industry is an asset.
Strong organizational, written and communication skills.
Good negotiation skills.
Ability to work with tight deadlines, multi task and follow up.
Proficiency in MS office.
