Risk Data Analyst

On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Risk Data Analyst to be responsible for collecting position information from enterprise data sources and ensure the data quality.

The Analyst will also help the team in risk modelling and mapping, risk calculation, and may help in preparing and vetting risk reports for total fund risk, client risk and specialized risk views such as market risk, liquidity risk, ESG risk, credit & counterparty risk, derivatives and stress tests.

The Analyst will also be contributing to risk system enhancements, documenting operational procedures and providing backup for other team members.

The role is integral to the success of the Investment Risk team as setting the groundwork for the risk systems is essential to ensure future risk informed investment decisions.

Risk Data Analyst Job Details

  • Research the data sources and terms and conditions required to load positions in risk system.
  • Validate and load financial instrument position data from multiple systems and databases to enterprise risk system. Identify terms and conditions of various pricing models in the risk system
  • Document set up, data integrity processes, procedures and controls
  • Ability to automate position transformation, load and reconciliation process
  • Work closely with risk and other stakeholders to ensure data integrity across risk systems
  • Risk Data Analyst Mandatory Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business / Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science)
  • 4+ years’ experience in financial services and risk data management
  • 2+ years’ experience in MS SQL (SSIS) and able work independently.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments, security market data and providers such as Bloomberg, FactSet, etc.
  • Experience in ETL and automation skills. Data management and security setup experience.
  • Excellent organizing and planning skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Risk Data Analyst Desired Skills

  • Master’s degree (such as Business / Finance, Financial Mathematics, Computer Science)
  • Experience with MSCI Risk Manager and / or any other risk system
  • Relevant exposure to risk measurement experience in reporting market and credit risk.
  • Working towards CFA / FRM / PRM designation
  • Risk Data Analyst Assignment Length
