The QA analyst role is to ensure complete functional test coverage as well as provide tool and process support for end to end lab and field testing.
This includes creating, validating, and maintaining test scripts using defined tools. The QA analyst will apply proven analytical skills and business knowledge to ensure proper integration of business requirements and application functionality that is of the highest quality.
The QA analyst will need to be self-sufficient and work well in a collaborative team environment.
The QA lead will drive the definition and execution of the solution testing
Ensure adherence to established best practices, standards, and established processes
Responsible for designing test cases, scenarios, procedures, test data and other setup necessary to establish the required pre-
conditions and environmental context for each test case
Identify the test cases, define test plans and test plans strategies
Provide estimates for all testing deliverables
Define Test Strategy & Test Plan including system integration, performance testing, automation and all other types of testing
Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application prior to testing to understand its intended functionality
Create, maintain and validated test scripts to test new and existing functionality ensuring a quality implementation
Collaborate with test leads and the business in application testing, such as user acceptance testing
Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to appropriate stakeholders
Coordinate all testing related activities for self and the team while ensuring adherence to best practices and standards
Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
5 years relevant work experience in Quality Assurance
5+ years’ experience in a leadership role.
Background and knowledge in rail operations
Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities
Exposure to project-based work structures
Strong leadership skills
Experience with HP Quality Centre or ALM
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Keen attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines
