  • Perform all contract administration services for various municipal clients including, but not limited to;
  • Management of inspection services and quality assurance,

    Manage the measurement of construction progress and the preparation of payment certificates,

    Management of written and photographic record keeping including the submission of reports,

    Review and provide recommendations of Contract Change Requests and Claims,

    Provide conflict resolution and field solutions with respect to unforeseen construction issues,

    Management of responses to Contractor’s RFI’s and clarification requests,

    Attend and lead construction progress meetings and production of meeting minutes,

    Liaise with the contractor, client and municipal officials on project updates and progress, including preparation and issuance of project reports,

    Familiarity with current traffic control regulations,

    Familiarity with relevant environmental regulations, municipal approvals and local by-laws,

    Management and responsibility for OHSA on assigned projects,

    Other duties as assigned.


    Positive attitude with good communication, interpersonal skills and employment record,

    5 - 10 years of contract administration or relevant experience in municipal infrastructure, consideration of years of inspection services will be given,

    Experienced in project planning, risk management, cost management, schedule management and preparation / administration of contract documents and specifications,

    Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications,

    Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team,

    MTO Class G’ driver’s license in good standing and access to a personnel vehicle,

    Effective communicator possessing demonstrated skills in dealing with other staff, contractors, and the public with matters arising from construction projects,

    Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills,

    Detailed knowledge of the Occupation Health and Safety Act and its Regulations, and Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications (OPSS) for Municipal projects, and

    Demonstrated skills in the use of computer utilizing programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook),

    C.E.T. / P.Eng. designation an asset.
