We have upcoming Associate Director vacancies across various locations. Based in Toronto, ON or Calgary, AB as the Associate Director you will be responsible for coordinating and expanding cash management, treasury and deposit relationships in the Corporate segment, typically large publicly traded clients.
You will work closely with our Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Relationship Managers ensuring all Scotiabank Global Business Payments offerings, including cash management, commercial card, liquidity and trade finance are appropriately presented to clients consistent with short and long-range Bank objectives.
What will you do?
You will have a primary responsibility to defend and aggressively grow the bank’s Global Business Payment and deposit revenues.
Successfully partner with Global Banking and Market’s Relationship Managers, Deposit Specialists, Trade Finance, Commercial Card and Global Solutions to bring the entire bank to the client as appropriate.
Collaborate with internal partners and products to aid in the continued development of our offerings and develop solutions tailored to their needs.
Grow and expand existing relationships, introducing new opportunities to the clients.
Update and maintain Salesforce ensuring an accurate reflection of coverage and pipeline opportunities.
Maintain a strong presence to our clients as a trusted advisor with a demonstrated level of industry expertise and understanding of best practices in cash management and banking.
Lead the negotiations and pricing discussions for Global Business Products with clients to ensure profitability.
Provide support and guidance to the team and broader Corporate segment.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed?
You have a minimum of 5 years of complex cash management, sales or relationship management experience.
You have a university degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline.
You have excellent communication, time management, and organization skills.
You have a strong understanding of relationship banking.
You have knowledge of global treasury, cash management, and deposit products and solutions.
You have a working knowledge of the Scotiabank’s sales and service technology platforms and templates as needed.
Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.
Industry knowledge / experience in oil and gas, commodities is an added plus.
CTP or CertICM designation is a plus.
You are able to travel up to 20% of the time within North America.
You have a valid Driver’s License.
