Job Description

We’re one of North America’s fastest growing tech companies with offices in Calgary, Vancouver, Denver and London (ON). With rapid growth comes a rapid need to up our game as it pertains to our security infrastructure! Our number one hiring priority is to bring in an outstanding Senior Security Analyst.

We need someone who can work closely with the senior leadership team and recommend & implement security policies and infrastructure for our company and clients.

We’re a fast moving operation with a roster of superb local and international clients, that keep our IT department on their toes.

The right candidate will certainly not get bored in this newly-created role, as they quickly get familiar with our tech stacks, infrastructure and processes.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of digital security experience, in-depth knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

Candidates must also be comfortable defining and owning our security process; as well as, working with IT and software development teams to drive effective implementation.


  • Work directly with senior leadership to define and document security policies and standards.
  • Recommend and implement security policies across company infrastructure : desktops, mobile devices, headsets, cloud infrastructure, data center, and on-prem servers.
  • Implement sensitive data handling policy for internal and client data.
  • Maintain access controls for services such as SharePoint, JIRA and Confluence.
  • Assess security risks for cloud services and applications in use by the company and its employees.
  • Review client contracts to assess security obligations and compliance.
  • Handle and report privacy and security incidents.
  • Define and administer security training for all employees.
  • Consult on security matters for client projects, as needed.
  • Work with IT to monitor networks and key systems for security concerns, conduct vulnerability assessments, and risk remediation.

  • 4+ years of digital security experience.
  • Degree or 2-year diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Certified in, or working towards one of : CISSP, CISA, GIAC, etc.
  • Experience with ISO 27001 or comparable security frameworks.
  • In-depth experience with risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Experience documenting and analysing threat assessments.
  • Comfortable operating in a mixed Mac, Windows and Linux environment.
  • Experience with O365 and SharePoint Online.
  • Ability to self-direct and prioritize work.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

  • Familiarity with GDPR and other data privacy rules.
  • Experience in a mixed Mac, Windows and Linux environment.
  • Experience securing and monitoring deployments on Azure, AWS or GCP.
  • Experience in IT administration or software development.
  • Experience completing a SOC2 audit.
