Reporting to the Director of Network Management the Manager of Damage Prevention is responsible for the development and implementation of Rogers Damage Prevention program that supports our fast growing business while balance risk and ensure compliances.

This position is based at the Rogers Brampton Campus.What you will be doing : Lead, motivate and develop a team of Damage Prevention staff, prioritize work and allocate resources in order to ensure Rogers damage prevention programs are delivered in line with expectations and customer / business objectives.

Promote the philosophy of safe team working and development across all Damage Prevention activities in order to achieve business objectives and continuously improve performance.

Manage and improve operational process activities, in order to achieve high productivity, low costs and efficient work practices and to ensure complianceDevelop and manage ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders (city contractors, third party excavators etc) in order to identify and deliver solutions that benefit all parties.

Specifically, build relations and outreach programs with Implementation Primes in geographical area in order to maintain oversight of work planned or being carried out around existing facilities which will need to be supervised in order to protect the facilities and thus the safety of the contractors and the public.

Liaise with legal department, divisions, and regulatory agencies regarding damage prevention issues and claims recovery from third party damages in order to identify and deliver solutions that benefit both parties.

Develop and implement damage prevention / communication plan with third party excavators including training seminars and random / ad hoc on-site inspections.

Implements and monitors automated, centralized Dig-Safe request and distribution system, including transmission system integrity patrols.

Develop and implement training conjunction with the Safety and Training Department, in order to educate all field operation's personnel with regards to damage prevention.

Challenge existing Damage prevention processes and continuously seek ways to do things better in order to drive greater efficiencies for the business.

Develop and utilize peer group network in order to absorb and apply technical / professional best practice within own area of specialties.

What you have : A university degree or college diplomaMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in network implementation and field operations especially with damage investigations and locates.

Demonstrated ability to network internally and externally and to develop successful, long-lasting business relationships with others and seeks to understand and challenge business scenarios to the benefit of all parties.

Understanding of theory behind damage prevention policies and processes and demonstrated ability to challenge existing processes and ways of working e.

g. taking action to avoid future crisis or create opportunities to improve existing practices.Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills including stakeholder communications and human resource management.
