  • Standard office hours; Monday to Friday from approximately 7 : 30am to 4 : 00pm
  • The Opportunity :

    The Facility General Maintenance Personnel is responsible for maintaining and supporting the Cambridge facility with general maintenance and other duties as required by various departments.

    Key Accountabilities :

  • Assist with completing yard checks
  • Enter information in computerized work software system
  • Complete daily shop cleanups as required
  • Pick up maintenance supplies as required
  • Maintain 5S program with maintenance department organization and cleanliness
  • Sweep and clean trailer floors and flat decks as required
  • Provide input to the health and safety program and attend meetings as required
  • Occasional travel to other terminals (Mississauga, Woodstock, and London)
  • Perform other maintenance duties as required
  • What You Need To Be Successful In This Role :

  • Secondary School Diploma or working towards
  • Possess a valid G Driver's License is required with clean abstract
  • Mechanical background is an asset List
  • Strong customer focus and ability to provide prompt customer service
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Forklift training an asset, but willing to train
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Managers, Mechanics and Drivers
  • Interest in working autonomously to complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Enjoys the challenge of working in a fast paced environment
  • Willingness to learn new skills and be trained
  • Willing to progress in the role
  • Basic computer skills
  • Take direction from custodian / supervisors / team leads
  • Detail oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment
  • Positive and upbeat attitude with the willingness to take initiative
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Well-organized, enthusiastic, professional and a positive team member
  • Some heavy lifting involved (single lift no more than 50lb)
