Do you have high integrity and strong work ethic? We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Consultant, Organizational Development with great ease in quickly adapting to a large, fast-

paced, team’s operational learning needs. This individual must be a team player with the ability to build relationships, and then proceed to establish strategies and execute them in a timely and effective manner.

This position could sit in either our Concord, ON or Pointe Claire, QC Head Office location.

Key Accountabilities

  • Model the way for safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
  • Map out and execute the learning strategy to align both employee talent needs and operational business requirements; the learning strategy would include the appropriate content to drive successful organizational outcomes and be supported by a multi-
  • platform learning model to enable a learning culture in a fast-paced, dynamic results oriented culture

  • Create and distribute various development programs in many context including : in-class trainings (in person) and with the use of technology (web-
  • based) as well as on demand training as needed by using a variety of media (audio, visuals, texts), to support a dynamic, learning culture

  • Develop and implement evaluation tools to ensure learning is successfully applied on the job and is effective in helping to achieve business outcomes
  • Identify, source and / or develop learning programs to support critical organizational competencies
  • Offer coaching in order to support participants in acquiring new competencies including supporting the HR Team in developing learning plans for individuals and teams
  • Support in the development and delivery of an integration program for new Employees and Managers
  • Research, recommend and lead the implementation of Leadership Development strategies for our identified Hi-Potentials and High Performers
  • Collaborate in managing the Company’s Performance Management Process including communication, monitoring, follow up and sharing of results as an input into the annual talent review process
  • Act as a focal point for the overall talent review and succession management process
  • Liaison with the Sales Team to support the Sales Development Process and potentially help to develop and / or deliver sales development training to help close identified sales competency gaps
  • Work closely with other members of the learning and development team, as well as the broader HR Team to help execute learning objectives and support a learning culture’ across the organization
  • Key Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education with a focus in Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology or Human Resources
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in Organizational Development including coaching as well as experience as an HR Generalist or Business Partner
  • A Certified Member of Quebec’s Ordre des Conseillers en Ressources Humaines / Relations Industrielles would be asset
  • Highly safety conscious and customer centric with a sense urgency and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to respect tight deadlines and manage high volume
  • Bilingual English and French mastering presentation and facilitator skills
  • Knowledge of following programs : Franklin Covey Programs, Predictive Index and Ken Blanchard would be an asset
  • Experience and creativity in the utilization of technology and innovative learning strategies to develop and deliver learning content to a multifaceted audience
  • Organized with strong planning skills and a mindset for continuous improvement
  • Comfortable in communicating learning strategy and direction at a senior level to influence and support leadership teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to easily establish connections and build trusted relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Proven experience supporting leadership development as well as sales development with focus on program mapping, content development and delivery
  • Willing and able to travel to different locations across our Toromont Dealership
  • A valid Driver’s Licence and clean Driver's Abstract
