What We Do
The Frostbite Characters team is empowering content creators to build the highest quality characters in the most rewarding environment, on our proprietary Frostbite game engine.
The technologies we build include a new character customization system, state of the art mesh deformation technologies, and a new set of tools to produce next-gen facial rigs.
Help develop workflows to improve the efficiency of character artists.
Engage in key initiatives across the company, using Frostbite tech to help individual gameteam reach business goals.
Work closely with Frostbite engineers and EA content creators to ensure the tools we build have high usability standards.
Be a leader in the technical art community at EA, helping set standards and propose ideas to the product team.
Help produce demo material to showcase our latest developments.
5+ years of games / cinematics production experience. You have ideally completed more than 2 AAA games / movies.
Experience working with rigging, character FX or lighting artists and software engineers within games or film.
Proficient scripting / programming in python and C#. (C++ is a bonus, but is not required).
Experience building content with at least one commercial (Unreal Engine, Unity) or proprietary game engine.
Expert knowledge of 2D and 3D art packages : Maya needed.
A willingness to jump into the unknown and solve new problems; the ability to think creatively to resolve technical challenges and limitations.
Passion for content creation!
Experience with Houdini / Substance Designer
A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related field is desired.
