As a Warehouse Team Lead, you will be responsible for motivating associates to carry out their daily duties and maintaining a positive working environment to achieve department and organizational goals.
Team Lead will monitor associate’s workload, use their expertise to prioritize the incoming workload and re-distribute as required.
Team Lead will assist with the resolution of daily roadblocks, report team issues, monitor the performance of their individual team members and demonstrate good interpersonal skills through the resolution of concerns in a positive and timely manner.
Team Lead will also escalate issues to the supervisor and / or manager when necessary and oversee the daily details of the department.
The individual will be required to foster and promote a culture of continuous change. As a Team Lead you will . Oversees daily activities of all associates through supervisors, always assists in maintaining a productive workforce, and communicates pertinent work priorities to supervisors and associates Coach, develop and monitor the team’s performance to successfully exceed the desired targets Leads, plans, and directs the operations, motivates staff towards excellence by planning, coordinating and controlling multi-tasks performed by associates to achieve the desired goals of the department in a timely, accurate and safe manner.
Trains and supports associates to successfully carry out their job duties, and ensures productivity and accuracy targets are being met Responsible for supporting various process improvement and new business initiatives Has a thorough understanding of all departmental processes and established procedures.
Anticipates and prevents errors Serves as a liaison with appropriate departments to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Completes all paperwork and documentation required thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner.
Exercises care in avoiding errors and rework and pays attention to detail. Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the department Evaluates processes and recommends changes in order to improve efficiency.
Maintains department compliance with company operating policies and procedures. Maintains a safe environment for associates and visitors, and keeps all work areas clean, neat and organized.
Identifies security risks and takes appropriate corrective measures Produces reports by collecting data pertaining to the key performance metrics of the team (eg.
Productivity reports). Experience and skills require to be successful in this role . Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced Distribution Service Centre environment and has good attention to detail Heavy Lifting required up to 50 lbs Must be certified and have at least 2 years of experience on any two of MHE (Walkie, Order Picker, Reach and Clamp) Displays a strong knowledge of internal processes Familiar with 5S business methodology Has a high proficiency of excel and office based programs Knowledge of computers systems (WMS, Power BI, TMS.
