Job Description :
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Director leads the creation of the - VQA portfolio strategies and tactics to drive the financial growth objectives and market share of their portfolio.
By leading and developing their team, they are accountable for designing and executing consumer strategies and tactical programs including market research, product innovation, pricing strategy, media, promotions, and public relations programs.
Plans and implements long-term marketing portfolio strategy, including :
Leads and coaches their team in the planning and implementation of annual brand plans for their portfolio of brands
Champions and coaches team on all aspects of brand management for portfolio or category of brands, including strategy, positioning, pricing, advertising / media, promotions, ROIC initiatives, and P&L management.
Develops a strong marketing team by training and coaching. Establishes clear goals and IDP’s. Through performance reviews, regular meetings and select opportunities, provides recognition and constructive feedback to develop team.
Collaborates with key stakeholders (Sales, Customer Marketing, Operations, R&D, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal) to assure timely execution of strategies
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required
Education : University Degree with focus on Marketing (MBA an asset)
Experience : 9-10 years’ industry and / or comparable experience with a recognized Tier 1 consumer packaged goods company (preference to experience at Director level)
