Job Description

Position Summary Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the Process Engineer will be focused on driving systematic improvements within the manufacturing operations.

Responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.

The work is project-orientated and you may be working on a number of projects, all at various different stages, at any given time.

Key Accountabilities Designing or modifying production processes; monitoring modifications and upgrades, and troubleshooting existing processes.

  • Ensuring the process works at the optimum level, to the right rate and quality of output, in order to meet supply needs;
  • Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers;
  • Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop a cost-effective and working production process. Requirements Bachelors Degree with a major in Mechanical / Chemical / Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering;
  • 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment; this includes any co-op experience working in a manufacturing environment;
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Word, Power Point, Excel required; Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
