Come take your career to new heights! TEP Canada is seeking a full-time employee for a Junior Field Technician or Field Engineering Associate, in our Airdrie, AB location.

Students graduating in spring of 2022 would be considered for part time roles leading to a full time position upon graduation.

Responsibilities : Field Duties (70- 80% of work time) :

  • Must have a labor intensive attitude and be capable of climbing towers, water tanks or rooftops.
  • Perform inspections, tower mappings and post construction inspections on telecommunications towers.
  • Provide superior customer service while ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner.
  • Adhere to all company and industry standard / regulations (OHS, CSA S37-18, etc.)
  • Office Duties (20- 30% of work time) :

  • Prepare field reports by using data gathered while in the field.
  • Prepare drawings of field sketches using AutoCAD.
  • Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to telecommunications, commercial, residential, and light industrial applications.
  • Conduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to field work.
  • Review peer work product.
  • Qualifications :

  • Post-secondary education in the field of Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • Current students must be graduating by Spring 2022.

  • Communication tower experience considered an asset.
  • Experience in AutoCAD or equivalent drawing software preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; self-starter, team player, and results oriented.
  • Have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.
