Description of the job

Reporting to the Director of Customization and Product Offering, the jobholder will be responsible for 3 main activities :

  • Providing expert guidance on the cabin features, seats and cabin systems customization during A220 sales campaigns, through customization phases and up to Configuration Definition Freeze (CDF).
  • Monitoring technical aspects of Head of Variant development during post-CDF phases to ensure that the cabin and cabin systems development meets customer and program requirements.
  • Aligning customizations with future cabin developments to secure a healthy catalog offering with an aim to optimize costs, lead-
  • time and manufacturability.

    In your role, you will :

  • Collaborate closely with the Cabin Programs team to develop and maintain a catalog of cabin features, seats and cabin systems offerings.
  • Provide guidance for the cabin marketing and sales teams to promote the most optimal cabin configurations and cabin features.
  • Support Customer Engineering in defining Customer-specific customization requests and guide towards the most optimal solutions that satisfy Customer and program requirements.
  • Develop and coach the Customer Engineers throughout the customer customization process
  • Participate in Customer configuration reviews.
  • Participate in configuration design reviews with Engineering and / or Suppliers.
  • Support evolution of configuration-related documentation and processes.
  • As our ideal candidate,

  • You possess, as a minimum, a university degree in engineering preferably mechanical, electrical or aerospace engineering.
  • You have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in aerospace.
  • You have good knowledge of aircraft cabin and cabin systems.
  • You are good understanding of design, integration and certification of aircraft systems or components
  • Ability to interact with airline customers at all levels;
  • You are autonomous and well organized;
  • You are innovative, flexible and resourceful;
  • You have strong oral and written communications skills in English.
  • You have a willingness to travel frequently.
