Position Summary and Purpose :

The Manager, Planning and Market Intelligence will proactively identify and capture acceleration opportunities for the Corby portfolio to achieve Corby’s strategic growth ambitions.

  • They will enable the strategic planning process with key tools and methods and actively participate and contribute to planning discussions.
  • They will identify key decisions and strategic portfolio choices to achieve Corby’s plan ambition
  • They will have oversight for market and competitive intelligence
  • Primary Responsibilities :

  • Implement and follow-through all areas for the Corby planning cycle (annual and 3 year plan.) Formalize meeting cadence and presentation content.
  • Identify and compile key planning topics among relevant departments (marketing, commercial, finance). Challenge and validate content through data checks and analysis.
  • Deliver relevant data, insights and key market intelligence along with corresponding recommendations to inform the organization and enable optimized decision making and strategic planning.
  • Contribute to Corby’s portfolio prioritization vision and implementation
  • Develop and implement a competitive intelligence process and cascade to relevant stakeholders
  • Localize trends from global trend resources to apply / integrate into the Canadian business
  • Collaborate with commercial and revenue management to streamline and optimize decision making
  • Guide and lead the market intelligence specialist(s) and work closely with regional business analysts

  • Strategic thinker that is performance driven
  • Highly motivated individual with strong drive for results
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into integrated recommendations and action
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a strategic planning / analyst or brand management role
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing
  • Proficient in MS Office (specifically excel for analysis and PowerPoint for presentations)
