We are seeking to add a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in Sault Ste. Marie, ON.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the QMS of Tenaris Canada and ensure its effective implementation.
  • Conduct internal and external audits in accordance with API Q1 and ISO 9001 to ensure compliance to all local / corporate procedures and international standards such as API 5CT, API SPEC 5L, CSA Z245.
  • 1 and ASTM standards for materials testing.

  • Analyze KPIs and process data to identify trends and areas of focus that require improvement or attention.
  • Convert large and complex datasets into concise and attractive presentations to be shared with top management of Tenaris (local and global).
  • Complete quality reporting and follow-up action and improvement plans.
  • Lead, follow up, investigate, and work with multiple levels of the organization across several functional areas of the company to complete root cause investigations and define corrective actions for all internal non-conformances and observations.
  • Management of customer dissatisfaction events.
  • Coordinate with and monitor third party services that handle and / or inspect Tenaris stock and manage Tenaris AVL qualifications status.
  • Administrate quality information systems.
  • Network with similar positions in Tenaris yards to ensure best practices are implemented and quality activities are consistent within the yards.
  • Participate as required in any safety related activities such as meetings, tours, or inspections.
  • Complies with Tenaris policies and procedures and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
  • Experience / Education :

  • 5+ years or more experience working in a quality management system.
  • Experience working in an industrial environment is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Commerce, or Finance
  • Strong aptitude for data analytics
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel
  • Exposure to Power BI
  • Experience working within the oil & gas industry will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Auditing experience or understanding of the concept is beneficial.
