As an AML Analyst you will support the Senior AML Manager in the development of and enhancements to enterprise AML / ATF programs, including frameworks, policies, standards and procedures development, monitoring, reporting, escalating issues and events, and development of team procedures and governance processes.

    Job Requirements :

  • Support the development, implementation of the Global AML Policy and Governance Frameworks
  • Deliver analytical support to the Senior AML Manager, Policy and Governance in oversight, advisory services, and control function to GAML partners.
  • Support execution of policy and governance processes, policy library for all GAML policy documents, impact assessment processes for change management, mapping activities and maintenance of records related to Regulatory Library, and GAML's self-
  • assessment of Regulatory Compliance Management RCM (OSFI E-13) process.

  • Ongoing governance and administrative support of policy and governance-related records, monitoring and management of PTG governance libraries, folders, SharePoint sites and mailboxes.
  • Maintains governance calendar of deliverables and monitors upcoming activities to completion
  • Supports the New Business and Product approval (NBPA) intake process for GAML, coordinating with stakeholders, as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of summaries, communications, reports and presentations for delivery of periodic updates for management, regulators, and other internal and external stakeholders working with the Senior AML Manager, Policy and Governance.
  • Analyze emerging trends pertaining to regulatory changes, reporting and provide recommendations to enhance or rectify AML-
  • related gaps, issues and enhancements.

  • Supports global regulatory examinations and external / internal audits with respect to request for information regarding PTG portfolio, as assigned.
  • Proactively identify matters requiring additional review, escalation, and liaise with appropriate staff to resolve, as appropriate.
  • This includes leading problem resolution for issues that have been escalated, and / or escalate to appropriate level where further clarity or interpretation is required.

  • Be knowledgeable of emerging trends, regulatory requirements, practices and procedures within the AML area.
  • Identify, recommend and effectively execute standard practices applicable to the AML discipline.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.
  • Supports Senior AML Manager, Policy and Governance in the execution of a PTG Strategic priorities and / or plan to address evolving regulatory and environmental changes in a manner that is thoughtful, deliberate and seamless to affected stakeholders.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for PTG, GAML and the bank, both internally and / or externally.
  • Required Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree or progressive work experience
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience in a policy, governance, compliance, risk management, legal or similar role
  • Knowledge of AML / ATF legal and regulatory environment including current and emerging trends, enterprise governance framework, products and services, policies, standards, systems, reporting and training requirements is preferred.
  • Knowledge of risk management environment, standards, regulations and mitigation is preferred
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and to exercise sound judgement in making recommendations and escalating, as appropriate
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proven attention to detail with the ability to synthesize information, distill and communicate moderate to complex information adapted the needs of the audience
  • Ability to present orally and in writing to a broad array of audiences to succinctly convey complex information
  • Ability to develop, support, coordinate and execute project plans and activities to completion
  • Proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
