  • JOB DESCRIPTION

    To us, employees are treated the same as our guests. This job is for the early riser who enjoys the rest of the day exploring their community. Breakfast Attendants jump-start the guest’s day at the Fairfield by Marriott Hotel. You are welcoming, helpful, and a kind presence in the morning. You are efficient, help guests with their requests and keep the food tasting good and maintain a high level of food safety. You hold a valid food safety certificate. You help keep the breakfast areas clean and sanitized, and up to brand standards. You are detailed, kind and patient, and a welcoming person. We value your professionalism, mindful personality is first with our team members, in return, we will help guide you to be proficient in your job with ongoing training and opportunities.

    GUEST SERVICES HOST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Have fun at work and help your cohort to be their best 

  • Greet all guests arriving or departing 

  • Go the extra mile and help your guests

  • Help your guests explore Revelstoke with your breadth of knowledge of local activities, restaurants, and local history.

  • Help solve guests’ problems and issues with win-win solutions

  • Be physically fit, and ability to lift up to 30lbs 

  • Sanitize tables and the buffet area above brand standards

  • Cook and prepare food

  • Keep tables clean 

  • Keep the buffet stoked and sanitized 

  • Rotate food stock, last in first out method 

  • Label and date all food in storage

  • Maintain food safety above food-safe requirements 

  • Avoid cross-contamination

  • Be knowledge food ingredients and common allergens

  • Report all immediate maintenance requests to the front desk

  • Report preventive maintenance requests to management 

  • Communicate to supervisors of low stock and items that require ordering

  • Ensure your safety is first

  • Maintain the Marriott brand standards

  • Keep a clean and safe environment

  • Deliver items to guest rooms 

  • Help other departments as necessary 

  • Seek out learning opportunities and professional development

  • Represent the Marriott brand with positivity while interacting with the public

  • Wear clean issued uniforms

  • Other duties as requested by the management.
