Can you use your forward thinking in lead development and execution of plans, programs, projects and strategies by crafting and delivering communications consistent with TD’s corporate standards and strategies?

Can you figure out business needs and priorities for defining options and achieving consensus on approaches effectively to achieve business results?

If so, then we have a right opportunity for you. We are looking for a seasoned professional with a substantial knowledge for the position of Corporate Communications Manager II .

In this role, you will :

  • Understand key business partners' objectives, direction and ongoing initiatives and advice the leadership teams on appropriate communication strategies and tactics
  • Develop / manage the execution of internal / external strategic and tactical communications on behalf of senior management, ensuring the improvement of TD's presence with key partners, highlighting TD's brand, community, and innovation initiatives
  • Handle ongoing relationships with business partners and / or third parties to coordinate all internal / external communication activities and project deliverables
  • Lead project budgets within forecasted spend through substantial knowledge / expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas
  • Arrange for timely billings, maintain progress billing standard and promptly communicate variances
  • Confirm quarterly forecast amounts (invoices and estimates) for budget lockdown
  • Handle multiple communications projects / programs / initiatives of moderate scope and complexity
  • Integrate knowledge of the enterprise sub-function’s or business line’s overarching strategy in developing solutions across multiple functions or operations
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues / points of interest
  • Provide thought leadership and / or industry knowledge for own area of expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit
  • Keep current on emerging trends / developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools and techniques
  • Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent
  • Over 7 years relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple communications disciplines, media channels, internal / external audiences, public relations, consulting principles, lines of businesses supported, banking industry, and customers supported
  • Proficient to contribute to strategic direction of the function and provide advice to senior leadership
  • Strong judgement skills for using sophisticated analytical tools and techniques to identify solutions
  • Adept in using MS Office and project and risk management methodologies
  • Proficiency in understanding and communicating difficult business concepts and converting information to compelling business context, solutions and advice
  • Strong influential skills to influence and gain alignment across increasingly senior shareholders while exercising discretion in confidential matters
  • An intellectual mind with positive attitude who can deliver projects and initiatives by prioritizing and multi-tasking in a demanding environment
