Who You Are and What You’ll be Working On :

Adi is looking for a Concrete Forming Superintendent to work on our landmark developments in Burlington. Valera consists of 2 mid-rise towers, 9 & 10 storeys, and town homes.

Nautique boasts an impressive 26 storeys and 7 levels of underground parking the second largest excavation of its kind in Ontario! These projects present exciting and challenging experience to get under your belt.

We’re looking for leaders that are well-seasoned in mid- or high-rise development that are looking for their next challenging project.

You’ll be successful at Adi if you lead by example, are open to feedback / able to provide your team with constructive feedback, have the ability to manage through change, and are able to be proactive in prioritizing and delegating tasks.

Your Day-To-Day :

  • Oversee the foreman and team leads on site to ensure the project is moving on schedule
  • Work with the project site supers to ensure the job is managed and there is site representation to manage the head counts at all times
  • Ensuring that the quality of work and materials is upheld Upholding Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards
  • Organizing and Supervising site staff, trades and contractors and ensuring that they are performing as required and reporting progress
  • Tracking / logging daily manpower on site and maintaining a project diary
  • Ensuring that the health and safety project plans and MOL requirements are implemented and followed
  • Working with the Project Manager to ensure that the budget is followed
  • Creating, Monitoring, and updating project schedules and ensuring the schedule and look ahead schedules are followed and provide updates to the Project Manager / Senior Management as required
  • General inspection of the trades and contractors and their performance and safety
  • Liaise with government inspectors on the standard requirements of the site
  • Ensuring the site office and construction documents are organized and maintained
  • Ordering materials as needed
  • What You Bring :

  • 5+ years concrete forming experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and / or experience
  • A strong background in Concrete Forming is required for this role
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management
  • Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings (with a focus on structural, Architectural concrete and Rebar prints a necessity), specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
  • Nice to Have Skills :

  • Gold Seal Certified (considered an asset)
  • Experience or knowledge of Lean methodology
