Job Description

The Marketing Manager for Brand and Experiences is the hub for all marketing activities within the Cineplex Entertainment Exhibition brands (Cineplex Cinemas, Cineplex VIP, Cineplex Junxion).

The role is accountable for brand perception, guest engagement, managing the execution of marketing initiatives related to driving awareness of various experiences as well as identifying, creating, and implementing initiatives from owned and external marketing platform management to marketing campaigns driving attendance, revenue, and guest engagement for Cineplex Exhibition brands.

Be the brand ambassador for Cineplex Exhibition brands (Cineplex Cinemas, VIP, Junxion) and its various experiences (including UltraAVX), while executing marketing activity across all channels with

effective positioning and differentiation to drive positive guest sentiment, engagement, brand affinity and attendance revenue.

Manage brand marketing opportunities (internal & external) for existing brand sustainment of Masterbrand, brand refreshes (UltraAVX, VIP) and new brand launches.

Support the business needs, identify, and evaluate cross-promotional and integrated marketing opportunities and develop programs to drive business objectives as well as evaluate the overall success of each initiative.

Manage initiatives from brief to execution, deploying campaigns through media outlets and partners, message mapping on owned digital properties, email, and collateral to drive business objectives.

Lead and manage the development and amplification of strategic brand initiatives; Students, Malls, Experiential Community Events and defend and grow competitive market position through campaign development and amplified tactics.

Work cross-functionally with stakeholders (Operations, Events, F&B, Content, PR) to drive incremental and net new attendance, evaluating the overall success of each initiative and identifying opportunities to scale.

Inspire, develop, and coach a direct reporting brand co-ordinator, responsible for management and execution of various brand programs as well as communication channel mapping and maintenance of the digital and in-location guest journey for all Cineplex brands.

Work closely with internal and external stakeholders from Creative Services, Content, Technology, Communications, Operations, Loyalty, Customer Insights, Product owners and Marketing team members to media and creative agency partners to develop strategic insight and data driven programs and marketing plans that meet key business and brand objectives.


  • College Diploma in Marketing or Business Administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration
  • 6 - 8 years of marketing experience
  • Experience developing strategic brand marketing communication plans; leveraging customer and competitive insights to develop integrated strategies across the customer journey, including traditional, out of home, experiential, and digital touch points.
  • Experience in managing a budget and financial planning.
  • Experience managing people / teams
  • Experience working with creative agencies; from insight development and excellent brief writing to managing creative asset development, production, asset management and delivery.
  • Experience working with media agencies; reviewing media strategies and plans that support marketing and business objectives including analysis of plan success based on data insights and KPIs.
  • Experience taking part in cross functional team-based projects and assuming a lead role in guiding the project from ideation to implementation.
  • Experience managing and activating experiential / sponsorships / partnerships events.
  • Experience with program development, and revenue projections, to campaign analysis and reporting on results that support marketing and business objectives.
  • Experience with data and customer segmentation as the basis for discovering actionable insights.
  • Strong project management, time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage own workload while multi-tasking to meet deadlines in a fast-changing environment.
  • Ability to manage and operate comfortably at a tactical level.
  • Ability to influence across and up without reporting line authority.
  • Not afraid to challenge the status quo and conventional wisdom with innovative ideas.
  • Highly energetic team player with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the Marketing team and cross-functionally with other groups.
  • Analytical thinking, both from a customer experience and business results perspective.
  • Highly collaborative team player.
  • Experience buying media and building activation plans.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings, promotions and events.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
