The incumbent is responsible for supporting international partners in performing the merchandising and purchasing functions to achieve the expected financial results.

He is also the resource person for the accounts for which he is responsible.

Purchases :

  • Complete product purchases for franchises, based on the selection of our Canadian products and according to local demand.
  • OTB :

  • Prepare seasonal budgets based on sales, previous budgets and taking into account real inventories;
  • Respect the percentages assigned by class and class established in the budget and perform effective monitoring during the season;
  • Monitor current and future budgets by analyzing the performance of departments, classes and subclasses;
  • Analyze local market trends and competitors.
  • Suggested retail price :

  • Establish and standardize the suggested retail prices as well as multi-buy promotions of the various items, in collaboration with the Director of Purchasing, International, according to the local currency of the country and respecting the profit margins.
  • Sales :

  • Ensure a good inventory level by analyzing the needs according to sales, inventory levels, quantities and colors.
  • Order tracking :

  • Follow the orders and deliveries of the promotional calendar to ensure successful launches.
  • Analyzes :

  • Prepare mid-season and end-of-season analysis reports;
  • Analyze the size curves on a regular basis and apply the necessary changes for each licensee;
  • Maintain the evolution of sales during the season to be able to establish action plans for inventories, promotions, launches etc;
  • Make suggestions and tracking markdowns for licensees while respecting approved purchasing budgets by complying with the financial objectives by category : sales, sales / inventory reports and inventory losses.
  • Communication :

  • Establish and maintain a business partnership relationship with partners;
  • Initiate and participate in weekly conference calls with partners;
  • Ensure good communication and good interdepartmental collaboration;
  • Visit local shops on a regular basis and be able to travel to its areas as needed.

  • A college degree in fashion, marketing, business or retail management (or equivalent) is essential;
  • Five to eight years of experience is required in the retail purchasing industry;
  • Bilingual written and spoken essential, in French and in English;
  • Analysis skills and ease with numbers;
  • Acute sense of urgency, autonomy and initiative;
  • Attention to detail, rigor and versatility
  • Ability to manage multiple files at a time and work under pressure in a constantly changing environment
  • Strong communication skills, rapport building skills and good business sense;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Windows environment, Excel in particular;
  • Knowledge of international markets (asset).
