Our Project Manager leads the highly knowledgeable and customer driven Implementation team that represents VelocityEHS professionally through the application of their knowledge and skills.
This dynamic team works with our enterprise customers to successfully implement our solution, bring industry knowledge back to the product team, provide internal support for implementation questions, brainstorm solutions, and act as the hub of communication to all project team members.
They do this by understanding the customer’s goals and delivering comprehensive scope definition, requirements gathering and documentation, development of project charter, development of budget, and development of schedule and timeline.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Within the project planning phase, responsibilities include scope definition, requirements gathering and documentation, development of project charter, development of budget, development of schedule and timeline and ensuring projects are fully documented and understood by all stakeholders.
Within the project execution phase, responsibilities include scope management, time management, cost management, quality management, human resource management, communications management and risk management.
This position requires superior client relationship management skills including the ability to manage client expectations, understand their business needs, and identify new business opportunities and billable hours.
Manage and evaluate assigned staff and assure that each person understands, accepts and supports Services goals and objectives.
Support the Sr Operations Director in Managing financial objectives as relates to staff utilization, budget objectives and revenue forecasting.
Gather and document business requirements through direct interaction with clients
Be a reliable main point of contact for clients to discuss requirements, provide implementation & training support, report on status and discuss budgets
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Formulate and manage project plans by defining deliverables, identifying key milestones, assigning resources, reviewing project progress, and engaging in ongoing risk management
Resolve conflicting priorities and unexpected opportunities and issues
Ensure all deliverables meet customer requirements for function, quality, schedule and cost
Build strong, well-motivated teams
Liaison between end user, management and technical stakeholders
Assist with the development and advancement of project methodologies, processes, tools and templates and work practices
Assist with project billing and budget reports
Lead customer training sessions
Meet utilization goals
Determine project estimates and feasibility and provide other sales support as needed
Experience and Qualifications :
Education : University degree required, PMP accreditation an asset
Minimum of 2-5 years managing a mixture of small, medium and large software implementation projects
3+ years’ experience in a software delivery role and a demonstrated understanding of the software development & delivery lifecycle
3+ years’ experience conducting use case analyses and other requirements gathering techniques
2+ years’ experience in a consulting environment preferred
Proven ability to become a reliable main point of contact for clients and understand their business processes and needs
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must for this role

Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office 2003-2010 products (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.) and project management software.

Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in a Software as a Service (SaaS) a plus
Proven ability to quickly become a subject matter expert
Superior analytical and technical ability
Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy

Familiarity with the ASP.NET platform
Familiarity with EHS
