Reporting to the Director of Service Reliability and Operations for Ignite Services, you will work with cross-functional teams as a servant leader supporting the team in delivering on our Ignite service reliability roadmap.
The Scrum Master will drive the appropriate Agile methodology focused on consistent, quality delivery and driving continuous improvement of the teams.
Key Responsibilities :
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies and events including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint demos
Continuously refine and improve quality of stories ensuring business value and acceptance criteria are clearly articulated
Proactively identify and resolve impediments, manage dependencies
Develop and report team KPI’s to track progress of sprints and releases
Develop executive reports on project goals, progress, and results
Introduce new and advanced practices to improve the team and performance
Solicit team feedback to identify areas of opportunity and work with team to continuously improve
Work with stakeholders to prioritize work items by keeping the backlog groomed
Provide coaching and support to team members on agile practices
Manage resources, risk, quality, scope, team budget and deliverables
Collaborate with other teams to manage cross dependencies and sequencing of deliverables (both agile and non-agile projects)
What You Bring :
At least 3 years working as a Scrum Master and leading high performing teams
Strong technical background with knowledge of telecommunication services (Internet, IPTV, Home Phone)
Scrum certified or equivalent experience
Experience working in both software development and system design
Working knowledge of DevOps principles and ability to operationalize processes
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting stakeholder expectations
Effective communicator both oral and written, with the ability to frame technology issues in business terms at executive level
Highly developed analytic, interpersonal and communication skills to influence and engage colleagues, along with a broad understanding of the businesses they support.
A keen and demonstrated interest in learning opportunities to further develop self and community
A continuous improvement mindset to drive improvements to team performance
Ability to resolve conflict and improve team dynamics
Superior decision-making, consensus building and conflict resolution skills
Experience with the Atlassian suite such as Jira and Confluence
Leadership capabilities : Strong Customer Focus, Teamwork and Collaboration, Ability to Influence, and Drive Initiatives.
