Reporting to the Senior Director, Network, Cloud & Data Centers, the Senior Manager, Cloud Operations will be responsible for leading the creation of a technology framework and providing technical leadership in support of Nutrien’s initiatives in cloud computing, with a focus on the design of services that run on both on-premises as well as cloud platforms.

What you will do :

  • Implement and manage daily (24x7) cloud support operational activities in a multi-cloud set up, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Crisis Management & Disaster Recovery across multiple technologies and teams to deliver high quality and stable services
  • Handle various offshore operational support vendors, implementing contractual requirements and deliverables, including SLA / KPI adherence
  • Run technology projects, including working with multiple vendors and company resources to deliver projects on-time and within budget
  • Provide input into strategic applications plans and help facilitate alignment with application teams, security, business, and systems implementers
  • Facilitate customer engagement and satisfaction with all support vendors
  • Collaborate with application support teams to drive improvements in communication, architecture, and performance
  • Partner with Project & Global IT teams to support sophisticated and integrated systems and applications within cloud space
  • Lead audit and security responsibilities that include routine reviews and reporting of technology policies and security compliance
  • Partner with peers and stakeholders to handle relationships with major cloud technology suppliers (ex : AWS, Azure) to continuously work with and increase the business value of products and services received
  • What you will bring :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 10 or more years with expertise in Global Cloud & data center management in the last 5 years
  • Excellent leadership experience leading / mentoring teams
  • Experience managing AWS, Azure and other cloud platforms, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
  • Hands on knowledge of many of the following technologies : O365, Microsoft Active Directory, VMWare, Windows Server OS, AWS, Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge and experience using integration tools and technologies to migrate diverse and sophisticated systems and applications from on-prem to the Cloud, including development, testing, configuration, deployment and monitoring
  • Demonstrable experience using integration and communication protocols between applications, databases & technology platforms
  • Experience using the following software : CICD Terraform, Circle CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Jira, GitHub, Ansible, AWS Systems Manager, etc.
  • Monitoring and Analytics Cloud Health, Azure Monitor, Service NOWSecurity Azure AD, MS MFA, Prisma, SplunkScripting & Languages Python, Bash, Java

  • Proven experience managing System Administration tools (configuration, patch management, server maintenance) and Network Management (firewalls, proxies, IP management, routing, DNS)
  • Good understanding and experience with architecture and design, including utilizing Agile / Scrum methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, BitBucket, Gitlab, etc.
  • Proven ability to work with and lead activities of a diverse professional and technical staff, including offshore vendors
  • Superb interpersonal skills and ability to prepare and present project updates and technical concepts / solutions to all levels of management, including IT and business stakeholders
  • Compensation & Benefits :

    Salary Range : $104,650 - $149,500. This range is estimated for the Senior Manager, Cloud Operations in Loveland, Colorado.

    Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

    In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our plan(s), which provide discretionary award opportunities reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
