We have an opening for an HR Advisor specializing in diversity and inclusion. The HR Advisor, Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) is an integral part of the HR team and will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of diversity & inclusion policies, programs and processes to support Tolko’s strategic plan and business needs.

The role is ideally based in Vernon, but a remote work arrangement will be considered for the right candidate.

The HR Advisor, Diversity and Inclusion will develop and implement strategies, initiatives, and internal / external campaigns to further embed D&I as part of Tolko’s culture.

Key accountabilities include :

  • Conducting audits / reviewing metrics and making recommendations on workforce representation and internal processes to foster an environment of inclusion
  • Managing and administering diversity-related training and awareness building initiatives
  • Writing diversity-related articles, managing social media posts, special interest articles and spear-heading other internal / external diversity campaigns
  • Managing diversity related funding, awards nomination applications and memberships
  • Acting as a liaison with external diversity-related organizations
  • Chairing Tolko’s Diversity & Inclusion Steering Committee (DISC) and quarterly employee forums.
  • What We’re Looking For :

  • Experience designing, leading and implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives across an organization
  • University degree in Business or Commerce; Human Resources specialization preferred;
  • Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is considered an asset;
  • Change management certification considered an asset;
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience, in a related field;
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and consultation skills with the proven ability to obtain buy-in from all levels of the organization;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop trust-based relationships and credibility with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Superior communication skills (verbal and written), presentation and facilitation skills;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; proven ability to successfully manage timelines and milestones with minimal supervision;
  • Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
