About the role :

Reporting into the Managing Director of Professional Services, the Senior Business Analyst serves as a key point of contact between the Retalon development / analytics / consultant teams and our customers (retail organizations).

We are looking for someone with a strong analytical toolkit and great written and verbal communications skills. Your primary role will be gathering business requirements from our customers, documenting them, and translating them into user workflows, use cases and configurations and development tasks.

Your objective would be to facilitate delivery and validation of these tasks.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare / facilitate requirement gathering communication with customers
  • Gather and document customer requirements in Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
  • Design and document customer / user process flows
  • Perform fit gap analyses
  • Document customer specific use and test cases from BRDs
  • Support development team with understanding / interpreting customer requirements
  • Cooperate with Development and Technology teams to document Technical Requirement Documents (TRDs) (data flows and batch order of operation)
  • Providing input on task urgency to the Project Manager for the purpose of prioritization of tasks and report on task completion and efforts remaining to the PM.
  • Document JIRA tasks and completion criteria
  • Work with Project Managers to develop project plans and schedules
  • Configure solution (e.g., develop / configure user workbooks and configure business rules)
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to test solutions as per customer requirements
  • Escalate solution issues to Director of Consulting, Project Managers or Support as required
  • Identify options and facilitate problem solving process
  • Report issues and risks to the Project Manager during projects and assist with identifying remediation and mitigation actions
  • Prepare user training material and conduct customer project specific user training
  • Support customer during UAT
  • Qualifications :

    You’re a fit for this role if you :

  • Have formal university degree in Mathematics, Engineering, and Statistics
  • Have 8+ years experience in business analysis techniques, such as eliciting requirements, workshops, process modeling, system or document analysis, and gap analysis.
  • Experience documenting user requirements, detailed process / program workflow diagrams, enhancement requests and repeatable bugs, and / or decomposing Features into prioritized, sprint-ready user stories for a specific product or module.
  • Proven experience in an agile software development environment, preferably Software as a service (SaaS), with strong understanding of the software development life cycle
  • 5+ years of experience in applying analytics.
  • Prior experience in supply chain or inventory management is an asset.
