We are seeking a Financial Advisor (trainee) to join our team.
The goal of the Financial Advisor Trainee is to build strong and lasting relationships with members while providing them with advanced solutions to their financial needs.
In this role, you will demonstrate a dedication to continuous improvement, a collaborative work style, and an ability to adapt to fast-paced change.

Here’s what would be included as a part of your typical day :
A robust training plan and regular assessments to get you prepared for the role within six months.
Builds strong relationships with current and potential members; identifies member life stage cycle and provides financial advice to members or refers to appropriate advisor.
Processes a full range of complex member transactions including, but not limited to : personal loans, retail mortgages and RRSP loans;
investment products; opening personal or business accounts, debit / credit cards, LOC / overdraft protection, and related insurance products.
Supports achievement of annual branch goals and objectives through proactive promotion of FW products and services, participation in branch campaigns, and actively seeks potential cross sell and / or referral opportunities during interaction with members or potential members.
Achieves established annual sales and referral targets.
Performs a variety of administrative duties which may include, but not limited to : administration of estates, completion of loan applications, conducting credit investigations, and follow up phone calls to members, as required.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications :
Post-secondary education in Finance, Business, Social Sciences or other discipline.
Completed degree is preferred.
Specific coursework in Lending, Financial Planning, and Mutual Funds is preferred.
Knowledge of regulatory, procedural and privacy requirements in both investment and lending preferred.
Proven skills in sales and relationship building.
