The One Company Marketing Planning & Integration Team is responsible for designing and driving customer-centric, best-in-class planning and execution of CTC Marketing’s strategic priorities.

This role brings together marketing planning leads across CTC banners / functions for an enterprise-wide marketing ecosystem that ensures we are planning and measuring progress in a consistent way.

The successful candidate will also incubate new ways of working across the organization that prioritize the use of customer data for business insight, optimizes cross-functional collaboration for impact, and advocates for an exceptional CTC customer experience.

What you’ll do

Reporting to the SVP, Marketing you will be a key member of the Marketing leadership team, inputting into strategic direction while providing guidance to the broader team in terms of execution of plans that drive strategic priorities and deliver business results.

Marketing Strategy & Business Planning

  • Support the development of Marketing strategic plans (Marketing SVP deliverables, Executive updates, Board updates)
  • Provide expertise on external Marketing landscape and retail, synthesizing information from multiple sources to generate insights and recommend opportunities for Marketing and CTC at large
  • Work with the Marketing leadership team to translate strategic priorities into annual operational plans for seamless in-year execution;
  • advising the SVP on risks and recommending mitigations

  • Lead the execution of broadly defined and in some cases unstructured projects on behalf of the SVP; acting as a trusted advisor and integrator for Marketing’s most important priorities
  • Oversee Marketing’s Dealer strategic agenda, preparing plans and required communications
  • Partner with Finance on CTC budget structuring, in-year management, and variance reporting
  • Omni-Channel Marketing Planning & Integration

  • Lead thought leadership on CTC banner’s planning processes (multi-year, annual, seasonal) including the framework approach, alignment activities, and ecosystem for in-year management
  • Integrate the use of customer data insights (loyalty, customer segments, NPS) in the planning processes with measurement in place to inform decision-making and continued improvements
  • Drive customer-centric omni-channel planning across Marketing and cross-functional teams (i.e. Strategic Marketing, Promo, Content, Loyalty, Owned Brands, Digital, Store Ops)
  • Manage from start to finish in-year changes to plan as directed by the SLT; this may include time-sensitive changes to address performance gaps, budgetary impacts, pivots in campaign direction
  • Strive to continuously improve efficiencies in planning processes for optimal results (i.e. stakeholder communications, product in-stock availability, planning toolkits and playbooks)
  • Marketing Operational Capabilities & Communications

  • Design, develop and project manage new marketing capabilities as assigned (i.e. in-housing marketing functions, customer data uses cases, omni-channel planning, media mix modelling)
  • Facilitate Marketing VP leadership team meetings for continuous progress and integration of Marketing’s strategic agenda;
  • identify and recommend people, process solutions with accompanying resource support as required (i.e. process development, change management)

  • Oversee and direct operational initiatives that impact the Marketing organization Non-Merch Procurement projects, Active Media credit use, Investor Relations requests, etc.
  • Lead the development of the Marketing SVP’s internal and external presentations and communications (i.e. forums, town halls, conferences, speaking engagements);
  • liaise with Corporate Communication and key stakeholder for materials / key message development

  • Proactively manage and support the day-to-day operations of the SVP’s office effective meeting management, material preparations, action-planning and progress reporting

    What you bring

  • 7-10 years experience in Marketing, Strategic Planning, Portfolio Management or related field
  • Experience interfacing with all levels within an organization, including Senior Executives
  • Strategic thinker, with the ability to connect the dots while also understanding how to operationalize strategic direction and prioritize to get things done
  • Success building, leading, and inspiring a high-performing team around a compelling vision
  • Proven ability to build productive business relationships with both internal and external partners
  • Proven ability to establish vision and set direction for a team even when faced with ambiguity or opposing forces
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills; ability to communicate complex information in an executive format and use art and science to tell a compelling story
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; can see a problem from multiple angles and provide viable, innovative options for resolution

    University degree in business / marketing or related discipline
