TheApplication Support Specialist is responsible for supporting web application,databases and resolving production issues.

These applications fulfill criticalbusiness needs and directly impact our customers. We are looking for amotivated individual with zest for learning and passion for technology to bepart of our Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs root cause analysis, resolves problemsand recommends solutions
  • Experience with handling production and customerissues
  • Participates in disaster recovery / businesscontinuity activities as needed
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attentionto detail
  • Proven ability to handle and root cause highlyscalable and reliable enterprise or cloud scale applications (large databases,millions of documents, thousands of users, hundreds of transactions per second)
  • Must have a passion for gaining in-depthknowledge of new technologies.
  • Proven ability in mentoring and growing skilledproduction support engineers.
  • Demonstrated customer-focused leadership ability
  • Ensures systems delivered to productionenvironments meet enterprise quality requirements.
  • Facilitate rollout of software components inproduction.

  • Ensures that backup and recovery plans aretested regularly and backup and recovery procedures are implemented.
  • Performs business continuity and disasterrecovery testing.
  • Performs troubleshooting and issue resolutionand escalate issues to appropriate 3rd party vendor if needed.
  • Provides technical support and consultation tocolleagues and customers as needed.
  • Qualifications

    Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications Essential

  • 4-8 years of relevant experience in Production support
  • Must have experience in supporting large web applications using C#, JAVASCRIPT, Node.js, React
  • 3 or more years of experience with SQL and thorough understanding of relational databases (MSSQL or equivalent) & NOSQL Databases (MONGODB or equivalent)
  • Must have experience in scripting languages like Shell, Python
  • Experience in handling and administrating and troubleshooting IIS 8.5+, Active directory, DNS, DHCP
  • Experience in monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabix or equivalent
  • Experience in supporting Windows 2012+ & Linux servers
  • Desirable

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science degree or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
  • Working experience with UNIX and shell scripts
  • Nice to have skills on AWS, Docker, GIT
  • Working knowledge on Service Now, Rally, JIRA and Confluence
  • Knowledge of CICD, Genkins and GitHUB
