  • The Key Account Manager manages a large number of accounts in the GTA with the primary responsibility to create value for the assigned customers through the technical service they provide;
  • and identifying new product opportunities and selling to existing customers. A Sales Service Professional’s sole focus is to maintain revenue, price capture and to improve gross profit.

    A Sales Service Professional may work on attaining new business where appropriate, but that is not their primary assignment or job responsibility.

    This position will be primarily account management, with most service work being done by an assigned service technician.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Assists the team with product inventory / ordering as well as equipment upkeep at the customer sites
  • Analyze routine service reports and trial data at the customer site
  • Works through various sales cycles to understand uncovering the need, developing a plan to address the need and implementing / following through on any trial
  • Alerts the District Manager of any problems or opportunities with the customer
  • Focus on safety initiatives at the customer sites to improve the overall working conditions
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ Pulp and Paper industry experience (sales or operations) preferred
  • Consultative Selling Skills, Utilities Core Competencies, Basic Water Chemistries
  • Equivalent experience or a 4 year degree (ChemE / Paper Engineering)
  • Proven track record managing large industrial accounts
  • Strong desire to succeed and sell new business
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships quickly
