Position Overview :
Imagine starting your workday by conducting routine pre-planning de / anti-icing events by performing walk-around checks of equipment and providing any required servicing to the equipment with fuel or glycol.
Once you have thoroughly checked the aircraft de-icing truck you will be operating for the day you enter it safely. Knowing that you work and operate your equipment near airfield personnel, aircrafts and other airfield equipment, you are very aware of your surroundings and have safety as your number one priority at all times.
You hear your two-way radio make some noise and realize that it is one of the spraying operators giving you the green light to perform your tasks.
You communicate with them professionally and respectfully and go about your job duties.
You are an Aircraft De-Icer with Inland Technologies at Winnipeg International Airport; you are responsible for safely and efficiently operating the de-
icing truck to de-ice aircrafts during inclement weather conditions while ensuring the well-being or self and all internal and external stakeholders.
Once the aircraft has been de-iced; meeting all regulatory, Inland and Airline policies and procedures, you ensure that the pads get properly shut down, any maintenance issues have been reported and logged in your log book and that all other proper shutdown procedures for the equipment have been completed.

Please note : This position requires a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP).
