As the Junior Product Developer for Apparel & Headwear, you will contribute to executing the development and production processes.
This may include colour approvals, graphic preparation, materials development, spec packages, costing negotiations and proofing customer facing assets.
In addition, you will be considered an apparel & headwear category expert, conversing on a day-to-day basis with factories and cross functional teams in a timely, detailed and professional manner.

On a day-to-day basis, the Jr. Product Developer will :
Collaborate with the design team to clarify each design and graphic in order to re-interpret to overseas vendors to ensure production and manufacturing appropriateness.
Work closely with cross functional partners to create and maintain accurate seasonal tech packs, technical drawings and BOMs
Develop graphics, trims, labels and materials according to design direction ensuring material specification, aesthetic and target prices are met.
Work with Design and Pattern Makers to ensure products meet established fit and measurement standards
Track, manage and review samples throughout development process from inception to production and proactively address any conflicts or delays that arise.
Provide factory with detailed instructions along with photos for any changes that must be made to samples or graphics.
Review and report upon proto, photo, salesman and pre-production samples with unwavering attention to detail

Report any inconsistencies in photo samples to marketing and photo studio prior to shooting for catalogue, lookbook and website.
Daily communication and weekly Skype calls to ensure vendors adhere to Development Calendar and address concerns

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS Must Haves :
Diploma in Fashion Design
3 years of apparel industry experience
Exemplary computer skills in Adobe illustrator, Excel and Microsoft office
Experience in product development and garment fit
Great understanding of fit and aesthetics for the positions respective category range
Technical construction knowledge for product manufacturing
Experience in building BOM's and technical packages
Experience creating production ready graphic packages
Strong organizational skills, works well work under pressure ability to multitasking and managing priorities
Ability to work & communicate efficiently with internal and external teams in a professional manner
Experience in communicating with factories and vendors locally and offshore
