Reporting to the Non Ferrous Project Geologists, and working in collaboration with Geotechnicians, provide assistance as directed for drilling and field programs.
The position is site based with 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation and will be on a fixed term contract from June 2021 - September 2021.
Adhere to Baffinland’s Environmental, Health and Safety Policies and Standards at all times.
Provide support to Geologists and Geotechnicians with downhole surveys and drill site inspections
Assist with daily monitoring of drilling activities
Ability to lift and carry 30 kg of materials
Assist with geological, geophysical and legal surveys.
Provide polar bear monitoring for the survey team when and where required.
General camp duties as required in support of Exploration programs.
High School Diploma Preffered
Field Experiance working with geological / survey crews in an Arctic environment
A valid Firearms Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) or the ability to obtain
Hold or be able to obtain site driving permit
Hold a valid Standard First Aid / CPR certificate or be able to obtain
