Provide direct support to Course Directors to help develop online resources, set up and upload material to Moodle and support the creation of assessment and tutorials / labs delivered online.
Current undergraduate York student in any program.
Experience and familiarity with York University. Minimum 6 months. Administrative experience preferably working in a high-volume environment.
Experience working in an academic environment is an asset. Experience supporting quality assurance processes an asset.
Ability to deal calmly, courteously and effectively with people at multiple levels. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent oral and written communications including ability to provide detailed information and answer enquiries in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to provide excellent customer service. Ability to work effectively under pressure of high volume with frequent interruptions.
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work effectively independently, set priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to exercise good judgment and initiative. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team. Attention to detail and experience showing accuracy with complex and detailed work.
Advanced skills in Word and Excel, intermediate skills in Access and must have working experience with SIS and ARMS. Ability and willingness to work both independently and as part of a team with students, faculty and staff.
Ability to use and or Demonstrated ability to learn how to upload materials to Moodle.
