The District is seeking two exemplary educational leaders to join the District team to support implementation of the newly adopted Education Plan.
The plan centers students with a focus on improving learning outcomes and enhancing well-being and belonging. With this plan, the District has made a bold commitment to Excellence, Equity and Reconciliation.
As a Director of Instruction, you will have a direct and integral role in working collaboratively with schools and school leaders to put these plans into action.
As a Director of Instruction - Education Services reporting to an Associate Superintendent, you will supervise schools and provide educational leadership and mentorship to Principals and Vice-Principals as you support them in aligning the needs of their students and communities with the District’s Education Plan.
You bring extensive knowledge and experience to this role in supporting educational excellence in schools through your leadership of learning and instruction to support the success of diverse learners.
You bring your own lived experience and background to the work in assisting schools in removing barriers to the full participation and success of all students.
We are seeking educational leaders with extensive educational experience as a teacher and a leader. You are able to demonstrate successful experience as a school-based Principal and / or District Administrator and have successfully completed graduate work with a focus on Educational Leadership, Curriculum, Special Education and / or a related area.
As a leader, you can develop and implement a strategic vision through the engagement and involvement of a broad and diverse team.
Your passion for teaching and learning and for ensuring all students have access to the conditions, resources and supports needed for success is evident in your experiences as an educational leader.
In order to continue the development and implementation of a District Anti-racism and Non-discrimination Strategic Plan, we are seeking for one, or both of these positions, to be educational leaders with extensive knowledge and experience, both lived and professional, in the area of Anti-Racism and Non-discrimination Education.
Specifically, we are seeking a Director(s) who will oversee the ongoing development and implementation of this plan in alignment with the Education Plan goal of increasing equity by eliminating gaps in achievement and outcomes among students and eliminating racism and discrimination in all forms.
