Top Hat is looking for a Vice-President of Mergers & Acquisitions - a self-motivated senior leader with experience in leading successful company mergers and / or acquisitions.
After an acquisition contract is signed and financial terms are finalized, the real work begins. Processes and systems must be analyzed, customer journeys mapped, and systems such as Salesforce integrated.
In the process, relationships are built and strengthened. You’ll lead this vital work, which requires a combination of head and heart leadership skills, as well as strong process, collaboration, and project management skills, and a bias for action.
You’ll leverage those skills to deliver a substantial and growing portion of Top Hat’s revenue target. This exciting new role reports to our Vice-President of Business Operations.
You Will :
Own the end-to-end integration of acquired and partner companies, such as publishing companies. You, along with the sales leads at these acquired companies, are responsible for a substantial portion of Top Hat’s revenue target
Be the connective tissue between the acquired company and Top Hat. You will build authentic, trusting relationships with partner and acquired company teams and customers.
They will view you as a member of their team
Go on sales calls with customers, and help identify opportunities for partners, acquired companies, and Top Hat to cross-sell across their customer sets and product portfolios
Design and deliver processes that establish rules of engagement, sales compensation, and revenue and issue reporting
Manage multiple projects concurrently, working with partners and acquired companies, as well as our Salesforce and Revenue Operations teams
Collaborate and work closely with internal stakeholders including Revenue Operations, Sales Enablement, and Support
Visit our publishers onsite to deliver training and coaching on Top Hat processes and best practices, and to bring best practices from those organizations back to Top Hat
About You :
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited post-secondary institution
You have 12+ years of experience, including 7+ years experience integrating acquired companies and partners. Quota-carrying experience is a bonus
You connect easily with people, are authentic, and you do what you say you are going to do
You effectively and concisely communicate up, identifying opportunities, risks, and solutions
You thrive in situations where you have to figure out new processes, identify learnings, and translate them into concrete action plans and processes
You are a master of G Suite and PMP tools
You are entrepreneurial - a doer. You're action-oriented and know how to structure your day in order to maximize your team’s success, whether that’s closing a deal or troubleshooting a systems issue
You are a closer. You can get to yes and a signed contract, and you know how to strategize to hit a number
You know your way around a CRM, ideally Salesforce
Some of the reasons we attract great people :
