Location : Brentwood Care Centre's Behavior Support Unit

Position Type : Part-time temporary (0.7 FTE) Days - 7 am to 3 pm

Salary : $20.91 per hour

Role Responsibilities :

Responsible for the provision of personal care of Residents

Utilize the Resident’s Care Plan to provide individualized care

Promotes the physical, intellectual, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual well-being of residents and families

Complies with policies, procedures and work routines

Ensures a safe and clean work environment

Works in partnership with other individuals and departments to promote customer service for residents, guests, and employees

Qualifications / Skills / Job Requirements :

Health Care Aide certificate as per provincial curriculum (or completion of year 1 LPN program or year 2 RN program)

Must be registered with the Alberta Health Care Aide directory

Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.

Brings a caring, compassionate and empathetic approach.

Mentally and physically able to complete duties as outlined above

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Demonstrates concern and interest in providing a safe and attractive environment for facility customers

Demonstrates effective communication, problem solving and organizational skills

Ability to function as an effective team member with other staff, residents, families, and the public
