Our client is a leading financial institution that is well respected in the industry. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a talented Collection Associate to their team of professionals.
Maintain / monitor, assigned collection portfolio minimizing losses.
Manages a portfolio of outstanding client debt ensuring all collection activities are completed within guidelines; maintains files to ensure essential information is available to pursue all civil or criminal litigation.
Negotiates on a case-by-case basis, a repayment schedule directly with the client by quickly assessing the file detail, and the client’s ability to repay.

Analyze Commercial and Consumer credit bureaus as required.
Utilize the necessary tools to locate or trace skipped clients.
Initiate assignment to Bailiff's as required to secure our assets.
Liaise with Vendors and Remarketers to maximize recoveries on asset sales.
Prepare Bankruptcy documentation as required and liaise with Trustees for release of equipment.
Maintain work volumes as measured through established service quality standards.
Evaluates the company’s position regarding the viability of litigation.
Fluently Bilingual (English / French) Spoken and Written with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Post-secondary education in related field.
3-5 years of collections experience.
Working knowledge of Bankruptcy and PPSA acts.
Proven skip searching abilities.
Repossession / Remarketing experience.
Proficient in MS Excel.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Creative and innovative approach to problem solving.
High degree of self-motivation and energy.
Strong Analytical Skills.
