About the AIS Antenna Team at

The AIS Antenna Team’s role is to grow and maintain Vesseltracker’s worldwide network of 2700+ AIS antennas. Because these antennas provide up-

to-the-minute ship data from major ports around the world, our work is critical to everything that Vesseltracker does.

We are in constant communication with our local antenna hosts and are always looking for new ways to improve our technology and operations.

What you can expect as an AIS Antenna Network Support :

  • Your tasks :

  • Contact our local antenna partners by email and telephone to resolve requests and solve technical problems
  • Develop simple Bash scripts and devise long-term, automated solutions to recurring problems
  • Configure new antenna hardware / software, which will be shipped to major ports around the world
  • Your profile :

  • You are open-minded, communicative and a fast learner
  • You are fluent in English and German, both spoken and written
  • You have good Linux Terminal skills
  • You have a good knowledge of networks
  • You are a team player who can step outside of your role and help others
  • Preferred, but optional :

  • Experience in radio-frequency engineering or amateur radio
  • Additional languages (eg. Russian, Turkish, French, Chinese, Indonesian, etc)
  • More about working at :
