Law Clerk - Real Estate

As part of the Real Estate team at Pizza Pizza Limited this multi-faceted position requires an individual who thrives in a fast paced environment, has exceptional organizational skills, is able to multi-

task and can work both independently and as part of the team.

Primary Duties Include :

  • Prepare and finalize all legal real estate documents required for both existing and new Pizza Pizza Limited restaurants with various landlords and their counsel (i.
  • e. Letter of Intent, Notice of Renewals, Expansion Agreements, Leases, Lease Amending Agreements, Estoppel Certificates, Non-

    Disturbance Agreement, Postponement and Attornment Agreements, Notice of Lease / Defaults, Sublease Agreements, License Agreements, Asset Purchase Agreement, Agreement of Purchase and Sale, Sign Agreements, Encroachments, Site Plan Agreements, etc.)

  • Ability to read and comprehend legal description of property, reference plans and surveys
  • Review, prepare and co-ordinate Real Estate Litigation matters with outside counsel
  • Draft and prepare documents to be registered with the appropriate land registry office for all leased and owned properties
  • Maintain and update the lease tracking database (LeaseMan) and JD Edwards
  • Field and reply to all requests or inquiries made, both internally and from outside sources, regarding all leased or owned properties
  • Communicate and coordinate with Franchising, Construction and Architectural departments on various requests
  • Exceptional oral and written communication
  • Requirements :

  • Law Clerk's diploma and a minimum of 5 years of applied preferably commercial real estate experience
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office
  • Detail orientation, highly organized and ability to be analytical and have applied problem solving skills
  • Position is available immediately and remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
