The Opportunity : PMO Lead

PwC’s Technology Advisory practice covers broader strategy work related to IT (eg. Business transformation) as well as specific strategic planning related to Cloud, Digital, Information management.

In addition, the practice delivers services related to system IT Function Transformation, selection advisory, enterprise architecture, IT governance and IT merger and integration related services.

As the PMO Lead, your role with encompass the following responsibilities :

  • Lead the plan, design and implementation of the PMO program
  • Define program scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identify and define client requirements for ensuring the solution meets business needs
  • Manage and track program deliverables across multiple projects
  • Work on escalated quality problems, and anticipate bottlenecks in the development cycle
  • Create, execute, and control plans, and manage the change control process
  • Manage vendors with both onshore and offshore resources
  • Develop PMO methodology based on PMI PMBOK / Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Lead and facilitate program governance and status meetings
  • Identify and evaluate current and future change requirements
  • Motivate and lead PMO and project teams to work as a cohesive unit and ensure the completeness of projects by cultivating relationships with operational staff, consultants, and management.
  • Manage and mitigate impact of all identified program risks and issues
  • Ensure awareness of risks and issues that impact current and future projects
  • Manage expectations to resolve conflict and elicit support and cooperation
  • Manage the activities of consultants and vendors regarding their commitments across multiple projects that encompass the program
  • Clearly articulate roles and responsibilities within the program
  • Manage complex program-level interfaces and interdependencies
  • Monitor team performance on a regular basis and notify management if corrective action is required, with purposed options in place
  • Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading PMO for large and complex technology enabled business transformation programs
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience - project management experience organizing cross-functional teams; experience formulating effective, matrixed, cross-
  • organization relationships, and collaborating and communicating across business and technology stakeholders

  • Security Clearance : Enhanced Reliability OR Secret
  • Education :

  • University degree in related field
  • Project management certification (e.g. PMP, Prince 2)
  • Desirable skills :
  • Bilingual
  • Bilingual
  • MBA or degree in business or related field
  • Organizational Change Management certification
  • Public sector experience
